Two professional basketball players based in the United States of America, Osahen Iduwe and Okoro Robert, recently staged a 3-day camp in Edo state with the objectives of spotting and grooming young talents.
The camp tagged ‘Ball To Survive’ took place in Benin City and drew 343 participants. It featured different programmes like drills, competitions, aerobics and other practical exercise that would help discover and groom the talent of the participants.
The Technical Director, Edo Basketball Association, Mr Umaru Victor praised the initiative and its organisers, while also stating that the state government has put in place structures that would engender sports development at the grassroots level.
