Michael Adebolajo is the British Born Woolwich Soldier Killer and Christmas Bomber, Umar Faroul Abdulmutalab.

Michael Adebolajp was born in the United Kingdom, never been to Nigeria, issued a birth certificate in the UK and held a British passport. He commits a barbaric act and he is now identified as a Nigerian.

Abdulmutallab was raised initially in an affluent neighborhood of Kaduna in Nigeria's north and at their family home in Nairobi, Kenya. He studied at the San'a Institute for the Arabic Language in Sana'a, Yemen,
He also studied at University College London, where he studied Engineering and Business Finance, and earned a degree in mechanical engineering. He also attended a master's of international business degree program at University of Wollongong in Dubai in some couple of months

These two had never really lived in Nigeria but they make the greatest noise around the world with their horrify acts, there are Nigerians out there, representing their land with their various ARTS,SKILLS and PROFESSIONALISM. To name but few, people like Gabriel Agbonlahor playing for Aston Villa and Three Lions, ,Andrew Osagie, UK's reigning 800m champion,Lawrence Okoye, British Discus Record Holder (68.24m), Abiodun Oyepitan, British Olympic Silver and Gold Medalist, Christine Ohuruogu, Beijing Olympic British Gold Medalist, Eniola Aluko, British Olympic Female Football star, Temi Fagbenle British Olympic Basketball queen and several other thousands of British citizens with Nigerian connection who are making the country proud...I just hoped the world around us understand that Nigerians are good people, Nigeria is a great nation, Nigerians love life.

My dear friend Adebisi Attitebi said: "I believe the powers that be are bent on implicating Nigeria, by all means necessary. First, they tried to use Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab to blow up a plane across the Atlantic, in 2009, which if successful, would have given the United States the leverage to cancel diplomatic relations with Nigeria, or impose economic sanctions, or possibly bomb Abuja. Now, they are trying to use this nonsense story of a guy who butchered a British soldier to demonize Nigeria. The whole world knows that since 2001, Western nations, most especially the United States, have been waging resource wars on certain nations that have an abundance of what it wants. The French are in Mali. America and Britain want Nigeria. Besides, Nigerians must not forget the CIA's prediction of Nigeria breaking up "before" 2015. Knowing who Boko Haram works for and why they are fighting Abuja, should not be far fetched, considering the CIA's diabolical prediction against Nigeria. Boko Haram is an offspring of the Muslim Brotherhood, which is a brainchild of the CIA. I believe there is more to this story of a British-born Nigerian beheading a British soldier. It is a staged drill to cause religious tension, fear, and media distraction away from other relevant issues. People must not always trust what the corporate media propagates. People must learn to analyze things and think for themselves. No matter how airtight a lie is, it must always have tiny pores through which the truth can exhale and reveal itself."

Nigerians in UK disown suspected attacker

Thursday, 23 May 2013 00:00 By Bola Olajuwon, Tunde Akinola (Lagos) and Tunde Oyedoyin (London) with agency reports News - National

• Jonathan, others condemn murder

• Britain vows crackdown on extremists

SUSPECTING a sinister motive in the identification of an attacker on a British soldier as a Nigerian, Nigerians in the United Kingdom (UK) Thursday disowned Michael Mujahid Adebolajo.

The soldier, who was identified as Drummer Lee Rigby, 25 years old from the City of Manchester, joined the army in 2006 and later served in Afghanistan. He was allegedly murdered by two suspected Islamists on a London street on Wednesday.

Outraged at the development, Prime Minister David Cameron Thursday vowed that Britain would be resolute against violent extremism.

Cameron also declared that the vicious act by the two suspected Islamists – whom media reports and Internet sources believed to be Britons of Nigerian descent – was an attack on Britain and a betrayal of Islam.

“This was not just an attack on Britain and on the British way of life. It was also a betrayal of Islam and of the Muslim communities who give so much to our country,” agency reports quoted the prime minister as saying.

“There is nothing in Islam that justifies this truly dreadful act.”

But Nigerians in the UK have said one of the suspects in the Woolwich attack, Adebolajo, is not a Nigerian but a British citizen as Metropolitan police officers raided a house in a Lincolnshire village belonging to the Adebolajos.

Reacting in a statement, a chieftain of Nigerians in Diaspora, UK, Sam Onigbanjo, said: “The beheading was done by a British citizen and not a Nigerian as speculated, his name does not confirm his nationality.

“This lunatic was born in the United Kingdom, never been to Nigeria. He was issued a birth certificate in the UK and held a British passport. Suddenly, he is now a Nigerian? This guy is not a Nigerian-British born.”

Onigbanjo noted that “because the accused is not Gabriel Agbonlahor playing for Aston Villa and Three Lions, or Andrew Osagie, UK’s reigning 800m champion, or Lawrence Okoye, British Discus Record Holder (68.24m), or Abiodun Oyepitan, British Olympic Silver and Gold Medalist, or Christine Ohuruogu, Beijing Olympic British Gold Medalist, or Eniola Aluko, British Olympic Female Football star, or Temi Fagbenle, British Olympic Basketball queen, or several other thousands of British citizens with Nigerian connection who are making the country proud, it is being made to look like Nigeria has shown itself again over the action of the British boy who beheaded a soldier yesterday.”

Also, a North London-based non-governmental organisation (NGO), African Partnership Development (APD), has strongly condemned the actions of one of the two murder suspects.

In a statement made available to The Guardian, APD said suspect Adebolajo was not in any way a representative of the Nigerian community. According to the statement, “APD wishes to condemn the barbaric act of the murder suspects, Michael Adebolajo, a British born to Nigerian parents and his accomplice. The killing is abominable, unacceptable and very barbaric.”

In another statement made available to The Guardian, the National Association of Nigerian Communities (NANC) condemned the action of Adebolajo and his yet to be identified accomplice.

The statement of condemnation signed by the National President, Martins Bakare and the Publicity Secretary, Owoeye Olabanji, reads: “On behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Communities (NANC) UK, our condolences are with the families and friends of the victim. Such an act is nothing short of barbarism of misguided minds, who have put a huge shame on their family, friends and the community at large.

It is saddened to note that both suspects, Michael Adebolajo and the other, are of Nigerian descent.” NANC said it hoped it was an “isolated” act and that the duo must be made to account for their acts.

In Nigeria, President Goodluck Jonathan expressed shock at the attack.

He conveyed his sincere condolences to the British Prime Minister David Cameron and the British people over the development and shared their grief.

The Muslim Council of Britain described the murder as “a truly barbaric act that has no basis in Islam.”

Besides, late Wednesday, around 250 members of the anti-Islamist English Defence League were involved in minor scuffles with police at a train station in Woolwich, while two men were arrested overnight after separate attacks on mosques in southeast England.

Security has been strengthened at all army barracks in London. The British flag was lowered over the Woolwich barracks – which was the venue for shooting events at the London 2012 Olympics – and flowers have been laid outside.

After chairing a meeting of security chiefs the day after the soldier was hacked to death in a broad daylight, Cameron said Britain’s communities would unite in condemning the attack.

“This country will be absolutely resolute in its stand against violent extremism and terror,” he told reporters outside his Downing Street office.

“This was not just an attack on Britain and on the British way of life. It was also a betrayal of Islam and of the Muslim communities who give so much to our country.”

Already, a house in a Lincolnshire village was yesterday raided by Met police officers investigating the alleged terror attack in Woolwich.

According to The Mail, Adebolajo was identified as the alleged killer and he was seen ranting on video shortly after the murder of the soldier in Woolwich.

It reported that the men, who are being treated in separate hospitals while under arrest, are most likely to have converted to a radical form of Islam.

However, as of yesterday, they were not thought to have links to terror groups based in Nigeria, such as Boko Haram.

Police were seen outside a £365,000 detached house in a Lincolnshire village where they raided a home where Adebolajo is listed as having lived in the past.

There was no answer at the address believed to be that of Adebolajo’s father, named by neighbours as Anthony Adebolajo.

The senior Adebolajo, 56, is believed to be a trained nurse now working in a managerial capacity within the NHS.

The modern property was being monitored by two police patrol cars stationed outside.

Later in the morning, plain-clothes officers, thought to be from the Metropolitan Police, arrived at the modern estate and the house and driveway were sealed off with police tape. An officer at the scene described the property as a “crime scene.”

Adebolajo reportedly bought the property in 2002. At one time, a woman who wore a burka was thought to live with him.

Neighbours disclosed that he had up to four grown-up children, although a few if any are thought to have stayed at the house for any period of time.

Michael Adebolajo was listed as being a resident there in 2004, shortly after the family moved in.

Wielding knives, including a meat cleaver, two men carried out the attack on Wednesday afternoon near the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich, southeast London, then delivered an Islamist tirade to passers-by.

Chilling amateur footage of one suspect showed him still holding blood-stained knives, telling a member of the public they killed the victim “because Muslims are dying daily” in the hands of British soldiers.

Speaking in a London accent, Adebolajo, who is black, made various political statements, including a demand for Cameron to “bring our troops back.”

Shocked eyewitnesses described how the men stayed at the scene after the killing, asking passers-by to photograph and film them.

“I apologise that women have had to witness this today, but in our lands, our women have to see the same,” said the suspect, who was wearing a hooded jacket and a black woolly hat.

Media reports citing witnesses said the men first ran over their victim in a car before finishing him off with the knives.

Several witnesses said he had been decapitated.

Reports said the victim was wearing a T-shirt bearing the logo of the British military charity Help for Heroes.

The suspects were shot by police after the attack and spent the night in separate hospitals under armed guard.

The victim was yet to be formally identified. His murder is the first fatal Islamist attack in Britain since 2005, when suicide bombers killed 52 people on London’s transport network.

Cameron cut short a visit to Paris in order to chair a meeting of the government’s emergency response committee, COBRA, which had already met in the hours following the attack.

Defence and interior ministers attended the meeting along with intelligence chiefs, the head of Scotland Yard and London mayor Boris Johnson.

Meanwhile, counter-terrorism police have launched a large-scale investigation into the killing. Officers were conducting searches near the murder scene yesterday, and confirmed that they had raided an address in Lincolnshire, eastern England.

Cameron declined to comment on reports that the men were previously known to intelligence officials, but he hinted that police and security agencies could face probes into how the attackers slipped under the radar.

A female scout leader has shot to fame after she confronted the assailants shortly after the attack, telling them: “It is only you versus many people. You are going to lose.”

man reported to be a serving soldier has been hacked to death in Woolwich, south east London, in what is being treated as a terrorist attack.

Dozens of weapons - including a number of knives - and pools of blood could be seen on the ground in John Wilson Street, where a man said to be wearing a Help for Heroes T-shirt was attacked by two men.

Witnesses say the pair appeared to deliberately drive their car at the victim, before getting out with various bladed weapons and launching their attack.

As the victim lay motionless in the middle of the road, witnesses say they heard the pair chanting "Allahu akbar" - and inviting passers-by to take photographs of them.

As soon as armed police arrived at the scene, witnesses say at least one of the alleged attackers began approaching the officers - who opened fire and shot the pair. The men were taken to separate hospitals with gunshot wounds.

Prime Minister David Cameron described the incident as "shocking and horrifying" and said there were "strong indications that it is a terrorist incident".

WoolwichThe incident happened around a mile from the Royal Artillery Barracks

He told a news conference in Paris that Britain had previously faced terror attacks such as the one in Woolwich, adding: "We will never buckle in the face of it."

He has cut short a trip to Paris and arrived back in London to attend a Thursday morning meeting of the Government's Cobra emergency committee - which had convened in the hours after the incident on Wednesday afternoon.

Woolwich street attackMembers of the public surrounded the scene of the attack

Video has emerged that appears to show one of two alleged attackers - with blood-stained hands and holding two bladed weapons - attempting to justify the attack.

"I apologise that women had to witness this today, but in our lands our women have to see the same," he said.

Photographs taken at the scene show three people lying on the ground. Their condition was not clear. A car that appeared to have crashed on the pavement could also be seen.

Officials wearing full army uniform were seen entering Plumstead Police Station this evening and confirmed they were there in connection with the case.

Woolwich street attackScores of police were sent to John Wilson Street

The Metropolitan Police confirmed one person had died following the incident and said officers from the counter terrorist unit were leading the investigation

The Independent Police Complaints Commission will also investigate the police's role in the incident, which is standard practice in cases where armed police fire their weapons.

Met commissioner Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe, said:  "On the streets of London, a terrible murder has occurred.

"We ask that people give us the opportunity to thoroughly investigate this crime, to make sure we get to the bottom of who committed it and why."

Commander Simon Letchford, also from the Met, said officers were called to the road at 2.20pm.

"One man was being assaulted by two other men," he said.

"A number of weapons were reportedly being used in the attack, and this included reports of a firearm.

"Officers including local Greenwich officers arrived at the scene and shortly after firearms officers arrived on the scene.

Woolwich street attackAn Air Ambulance helicopter was scrambled to the attack

"On their arrival at the scene they found a man, who was later pronounced dead.  At this early stage I am unable to provide any further information about the man who has died.

"Two men, who we believe from early reports to have been carrying weapons, were shot by police. They were taken to separate London hospitals, they are receiving treatment for their injuries."

Nigel Foran, who saw the incident as he returned home from shopping, described a scene of confusion.

He told Sky News: "We saw a man running towards the police officers and then we heard a couple of gunshots.

David Cameron and Francois Hollande give their reaction to the attack in WoolwichDavid Cameron at a news conference in Paris

"He went to the floor and was surrounded while officers drew their stun guns. After that, all the people who were watching ran away when they heard the gunshots."

The Ministry of Defence said it was urgently looking at the reports that the incident involved a soldier.

Greenwich and Woolwich MP Nick Raynsford had earlier told Sky News he believed the deceased was a serving soldier.

He said he had spoken to both borough commander Richard Wood and Lieutenant Colonel Bob Christopher at  Royal Artillery Barracks  - which is around a mile from the scene of the attack.

"We think a serving soldier was the victim. We don't know the circumstances surrounding the incident."

Help for Heroes, the charity whose t-shirt witnesses said the victim was wearing, said: "Help for Heroes is appalled to hear that a man, believed to be a serving soldier, has been brutally murdered in Woolwich today.

"We are desperately saddened to hear of this sickening attack and offer our thoughts and prayers to his family, colleagues and friends."

Schools in the area were placed on lockdown.

Mayor of London Boris Johnson posted on his Twitter account: "This afternoon's attack in Woolwich is a sickening deluded and unforgivable act of violence."

Woolwich attack: Michael Adebowale's mother 'tried to prevent radicalisation'

The mother of a suspected Islamic terrorist who allegedly hacked a British soldier to death tried desperately to turn him away from extremism but “could not get through”, according to friends.

Woolwich attacks: Michael Adebowale's mother 'tried to prevent radicalisation'
Juliet Obasuyi looked for help nine months ago after her son, left, dropped out of university Photo: @dannymckiernan

Michael Adebowale, the 22-year-old son of a Christian probation officer and a member of staff at the Nigerian High Commission, was filmed holding a bloodied cleaver in his hand after Drummer Lee Rigby was butchered in a London street.

Friends said he had been a “lovely boy” but became involved in some “serious trouble” as a teenager and then turned to Islam. He started mixing with some “bad people” and became increasingly extreme in his views.

His mother Juliet Obasuyi, a 43-year-old probation officer, went to her friend and neighbour, a 62-year-old security officer, for help about nine months ago after her son dropped out of university.

She told him: “Michael is not listening any more. His older sister is a good Christian with a degree but Michael is rebelling as he has no father figure, dropping out of university and handing out leaflets in Woolwich town centre.

“He is from a strong Christian family but he is turning to Islam and turning against the family. He is preaching in the streets. He needs spiritual guidance before he radicalises himself.”

Another friend, Steve Adebiyi, who started a company with Mrs Obasuyi, said she was often left in tears after speaking to him on the phone. “The boy was giving the mother problems,” he said. “She said he was in with some bad group and causing a lot of trouble. They brainwashed him.”

He and Michael Adebolajo, the other suspected terrorist, are thought to have met at Greenwich University.

His mother was advised by a neighbour to take him to the head of the Woolwich mosque for spiritual guidance. He was converted to Islam by the head Imam, and taken for weeks of "further training" at a centre near Cambridge.

When he returned, however, he was even more "radicalised" and his mother could no longer "get through to him". A spokesman for the mosque said they did not know if he attended or been converted there.

She subsequently returned to Nigeria, where she is pursuing a career in politics.

Neighbours in Greenwich said he had been a "lovely boy" who was a keen Manchester United fan, but as a teenager became "angry at a lot of things".

Magdalene Edwards told Channel 4 News: "He was a lovely boy. Very gentle natured, very respectful to elderly people.

"He was angry at a lot of things like a lot of young people are. About a year ago is when I saw him with this whole Muslim dress.

"I said to him are you a Muslim. And he said yes, he's gone that way now. I said just be careful, I'm aware that there are some that ride on the coat tales of Islam and they're really not serving their cause."

Adebowale's father, Adeniyi, was born in Nigeria but came to Britain to study at Canterbury University. He and Mrs Obasuyi had a child, Michael, but subsequently split up.

His mother married twice but is now understood to be single. well as working as a fashion director she also started a small fashion business. She raised Adebowale in Woolwich and Greenwich along with his half sister.

Adebowale attended Kidbrooke School in Greenwich, where friends said he was a "normal, smiling teenager". Luqman Ciise, one of his schoolmates, said: "I knew him personally, he was normal, smiling all the time. His name was Toby... Still can't believe this."

According to a friend he and his girlfriend, a fellow convert, became well-known in south-east London for handing out extremist leaflets.

Adebowale's father now works for the Nigerian High Commission in a flat just yards froim Holloway prison in North London. His flat was raided on Thursday morning.

A neighbour said: "He has lived here for at least ten years. He is a very smart and polite man, who is known to everyone as Niyi. On Thursday morning I was woken up by the sound of banging and shouts of 'armed police'. I looked out and police were running into Niyi's flat.

"I then heard them shout 'No firearms and No drugs'. I have got no idea what happened to Niyi, but I haven't seen him since.

"It came as a big shock because he is a professional man who works at the Nigerian High Commission. He leaves everyday in a collar and tie and does not get home until about 8pm."

Second suspect in Woolwich murder named

The second suspect in the Woolwich murder has been named as Michael Adebowale, who has been known for handing out radical leaflets while a woman believed to be his girlfriend had recently converted to Islam.

Second suspect has been named as Michael Adebowale, but official sources have not confirmed it. Photo: @dannymckiernan

Armed police were seen raiding the flat in Thames Street, Greenwich, while forensics teams were spotted carrying out two large envelopes from the property.

Neighbours identified Mr Adebowale, 22, from images but official sources would not confirm the name.

Neighbour Jonathan Ackworth, 42, told the Times: “I was so shocked when I saw his picture on the television. I used to see him coming and going and would say hello. He seemed perfectly pleasant. Everybody is in total shock.”

It is understood Mr Adebowale’s mother has worked as a probation officer.

The flatmate of his sister, who lives in New Cross and who did not wish to be named, said that she came home last night to find a note from Mr Adebowale’s sister saying that she had gone away.

Mr Adebowale is currently in hospital after being shot by armed response officers but his injuries are not life-threatening, a Scotland Yard spokesman said.

He is six years younger than his fellow suspect and in video clips captured by passers-by his behaviour seemed less volatile.

Police wearing balaclavas and bulletproof vests, and armed with submachine guns, smashed their way into the flat yesterday. Two children and a young baby were taken away by police, witnesses said.

Neighbour Nicola James, 45, said of the family: “When you walked past you would hear them singing Muslim songs. You would hear them chanting through the windows.

“The gran who used to live there died and since then there has been a lot of comings and goings. I saw the man who was in the video go inside the house. I think he was a boyfriend.

“The woman I think he went out with wore a full niqab. She converted to Islam about two and a half years ago.”

Another witness said the man was known for handing out radical leaflets.

Police removed a laptop computer and two black bags of items from the house.

The Killing in London
      By Chief FAMA
Nigeria is in another international ugly spotlight, except that this time, the spotlight is worse than that of the "shoe bomber" who was caught a few years back before he could unleash his planned havoc. Unfortunately this time, someone lost his life in the hands of the alleged killer who is a Nigerian. These kinds of occurrence call for national and/or international dialogue among Nigerians, and the time for such dialogue is NOW!
An important topic, if such dialogue were to be, should be the damage that religious fanaticism has done in the psyche of modern Nigerians and young Nigerians. The vicious boko haram religious war, currently active in Nigeria, should be a good example of the topic. Nigerian organizations, worldwide, should start addressing the damage that religious war has unleashed in Nigeria as well as how badly it has destroyed Nigeria’s image on the international arena. Come to think of it, there was religious PEACE in ancient times in Nigeria. In fact, the peace was the nourishment and the foundation upon which the two supplanted dominant modern religions were built. Unfortunately, too, these two warring religious sects have become a nightmare for other peace loving Nigerians. The question is, “Why should there be a need to force one's spiritual belief, in the name of religion, on anyone else?” Why should anyone believe that their own medium (prophet/imam) is the only medium between humans and God more so if the God in reference is the same universal God to whom everyone channels their wishes and wants in the form of prayers? Why killing each other for a CONCEPTualized existence of a BEING that no one has actually seen, touched, or visited? Visited? The belief is that those who “visited” never came back for any feedback on their experience in fantasized/dreaded domain called heaven in pop term.
It is time for Nigerians to borrow a little bit from the vigor, energy, and money usually expended on organizations’ parties, and invest such borrowed resources on educating younger Nigerians—the future of Nigeria, actually—on productive and beneficial ventures for self and for others. Nigerians in the diasporal know that they cannot count on Nigerian Embassies, even officials on the seat of governance in Nigeria, to address any major issue in the media on international level. That fact being so, responsible Nigerian organization/s should rise up to the challenge and bear the responsibility of reaching and counseling younger Nigerians on known or suspected destructive paths. Why? Because the brunt of the ugliness of some few rotten Nigerians, spills to the majority upright and outstanding Nigerians when such ugliness is beamed to the world. This is my humble request to Nigerians and Nigerian organizations combined.

What we have here is a Clear CASE of Uneducated Religious Fnatics like the Boko Harams, who IGNORANTLY Belive that Western Civilization is BIG CURSE to Humanity All ovefr the Wolrd.

Solution to this kind of Restlessness should Start with the REDUCATION of the Moslem World, that GOD/ALLAH is One Absolute LOVING ENTITY or FATHER of all Creations who will NOT Like to hear that HIS other Creations are Being Killed and Destroyed by IGNORANT FANATICS!! As it is in HEAVEN so it is on EARTH!!

Furthering on this TRUTH, for Profound Understanding, let me use this Example for our Profound Understanding:

JUST IMAGINE A FATHER WITH SEVERAL CHILDREN, WILL THIS FATHER CELEBERATE THE KILLING OF SOME OF HIS CHILDREN BY SOME OTHERS OF HIS CHILDREN OR ANYBODY, FOR THAT MATTER? That is the similarity that should be drawn for Better Understanding!! Who can Answer the Question above to Justify the Slaughter of our kind cos of IGNORANT RELIGIOUS BELIEF?

IGNORANT MOSLEMS ALL OVER THE WORLD HAVE A VERY LONG WAY TO GO!! Also, Very Frustrated and Hopeless Unproductive Human Beings are constantly seeking for Notice by their Cowardly acts of taking the law into their hands. Am glad that the civilized World are on their ARSE!! Be you my brother, father, Mother or sister the killing of INNOCENT Human beings is HEAVY SIN COMMITTED AGAINST OUR HEAVENLY FATHER KNOWN AS GOD/ALLAH!!

Butchered British soldier: Second terrorist also of Nigerian descent

The second suspect in Wednesday’s butchering of a soldier in the Woolwich area of London has been identified as a man of Nigerian descent – contrary to speculations that he might have come from East Africa. The Times of London last night identified the man as Michael Adebowale, 22, from Greenwich.

The first suspect had earlier been identified as Michael Adebolajo, 28, a son of Nigerian immigrants. He had been videoed by witnesses with his hands red with blood following the killing of the soldier, who was named as Drummer Lee Rigby, 25, the father of a two-year-old son.

Both suspects are still in hospital in a stable condition and will be arraigned once they are fit enough to stand trial.

While not much is known about Adebowale’s background, it has been confirmed that Adebolajo was arrested six years ago after being involved in violent protests by extremists outside the Old Bailey. “He was a regular member of a small group of hardcore fanatics who regularly protested alongside some of Britain’s most notorious hate clerics. He was seen preaching anti-Western rhetoric in Woolwich as recently as last week. At one stage he is believed to have tried to travel to Somalia to join the terrorist network Al-Shabaab, but was forced to return to Britain,” said a report in Daily Telegraph.

“Anjem Choudary, the former leader of banned radical group al-Muhajiroun, said Adebolajo regularly attended meetings and demonstrations held by his group and successor organisations.

Omar Bakri Mohammed, a hate preacher banned from Britain, claimed he had converted Adebolajo himself,” the report added.

It described Adebolajo as “the son of devout Christian Nigerian immigrants, who settled in Romford, east London,” adding: “He went to the local school, where he was described by his friends as a ‘regular guy’ until he reached his teens, when his life changed dramatically after he became involved with drugs.

“One friend said: ‘Michael was into his football and was a Spurs supporter. All his friends were white. He was just a normal lad but as he got older he started to go off the rails.

“ ‘He was really intelligent and his parents were desperate for him to do well at school but then he got into smoking weed and also started dealing.’ Another classmate said that Adebolajo, known as ‘Narn’, began to turn violent. ‘[He started] holding knives up to people’s throats, getting their phones etc. He’d show us the phones he’d stolen.’ ”

WHAT MANNER OF EVANGELISM : Muslim Preacher Justifies The Hacking To Death Of The British Soldier In UK

One of the suspected killers who attempted to behead and disembowel a young soldier in the horrific Woolwich attack had listened to the preachings of a radical Muslim cleric banned from Britain over extremist activities, including alleged links to al-Qa’ida.

The cleric Omar Bakri Mohammed has been secretly filmed stating that decapitation of the enemies of Islam was permitted.

Today, in comments met with outrage, he told  that he could understand the feeling of rage that had motivated the attackers and that what they had done could be justified under certain interpretations of Islam.

Michael Adebolajo, a British-Muslim convert of Nigerian origin who gave a video interview with a meat cleaver in his bloodied hands while the body of 25-year-old Drummer Lee Rigby lay on the street behind him, declared that he was fighting for “Almighty Allah”.

Last night the second suspect was understood to be Michael Adebowale, 22, of Greenwich.

Mr Bakri Muhammed, who now lives in Lebanon, said: “I saw the film and we could see that he [the suspect] was being very courageous.

“Under Islam this can be justified, he was not targeting civilians, he was taking on a military man in an operation. To people around here [in the Middle East] he is a hero for what he has done.”

Mr Bakri Muhammed said of the suspect: “I knew him as Michael when he came to the meetings and then he converted and he became known as Abdullah. I hear he then started calling himself Mujahid. He asked questions about religion, he was curious.

He had first started coming when there  was a lot of anger about the Iraq war and the war on terror. Whether I influenced him or not, I do not know. But he was a quiet boy, so something must have happened.”

In other developments, two new arrests were made: a man and a woman on suspicion of conspiracy to murder, following raids at six addresses in London and Lincoln.

Shocking footage also surfaced of the pair being shot by armed response officers from the Metropolitan Police.

The video below shows one of the men charge at police and drop one of his knives before being gunned down.

His accomplice is seen raising his arm and aiming a handgun at officers before he too is downed, as eight shots ring out in total.

In 2007, following the conviction of a group British Pakistanis who had plotted to kidnap and behead a British soldier, a secret recording emerged of Mr Bakri Muhammed saying: “When you meet [Westerners], slice their own necks. And when you make the blood spill all over, and the enemy becomes so tired, now start to take from them prisoners. Then free them or exchange them until the war is finished.

“Verily they remind the sunnah of removing the head of the enemy. They remind the sunnah of slaughtering the enemy. They remind the sunnah of how to strike the neck of the enemy. They removed the head of the enemy. Use the sword and remove the head of the enemy.”

In another message, Mr Bakri Muhammed had said he hoped that “British Muslims who are in the Army over there” (Afghanistan) can be captured.

Mr Bakri Muhammed, who is Syrian-born, and has named one of his sons after Osama bin Laden, stated that he and his followers were not involved in violence while residing in the UK due to what had become known as the “covenant of security” under which Islamist organisations were allowed to carry out their activities, but desisted from taking armed action in the country which had given them refuge.
“But in this case obviously the covenant of security did not apply,” he said.
“Beheading is how criminals were executed under the laws, but that must happen with a Sharia court and decision by judges with criminals. On this occasion he was taking military action, not a legal one.”

A 29-year-old woman at a home in south London, and a man of the same age, were arrested in arrested at an undisclosed location.

The two men shot by police remain in hospital with non-fatal injuries but it is understood officers are yet to interview the pair. It emerged that the shooting was captured by a council camera. Two officers fired their guns and a third fired a taser weapon, the Independent Police Complaints Commission said.

"Angel" did not want victim to die alone
The son of a woman who became known as the "angel" of the Woolwich attacks has spoken about what made his mother stay praying by the side of dying soldier Lee Rigby.

He said: "She just thought at the time, imagine if that was my son. No one wants to die with no one by their side. She just wanted to comfort the guy." He did not want to be named.

Family friend Joe Tallant said: "She wanted to comfort the man... She put her hands on his chest and prayed."

 My dear brothers and sisters

Nigeria has once again shone its filthy light on the international community.

Whilst walking around the streets of Nottingham yesterday. I felt as if all those looking at me, were saying in their minds, "what is his next move? Who is he really? Are we safe?"

The pubs are awash with people discussing the horrific act in London last week, and whilst the name of this renegade (Michael) might not be mentioned much, the word 'NIGERIAN' is consistent in all these chat sessions. Nigeria is in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons! Last time it was an attempted suicide bomber on his way to the United States, but this time a brave British soldier has been hacked down, in the heart of London, in broad day light by a man of Nigerian origin. This killing, the first of its kind has touched the heart and fabric of the British society. A society that welcomes law abiding citizens from all over the world, and gives each and every one of them a chance to fulfil their potential.

The question we must now ask ourselves as Nigerians, is not whether he is a British Nigerian or Pakistani Nigerian, but whether this will happen again, when, where? and how soon? And then do all we can in our own little or big way to prevent a re-occurrence. Every Nigerian at every level, whether in England, the USA, in Nigeria and anywhere in the world must begin to dialogue and ask ourselves vital questions, and find out why some of our young men have decided to follow this evil path. Such discussions and dialogue should take place now and not later. We need to ask and answer the vital question of why is religious fanaticism damaging the psyche of modern and young Nigerians. We need to discuss the brutality of Boko Haram and its religious war, currently unleashed on innocent Nigerians in the North East of Nigeria.

Nigerian organizations, worldwide, MUST start addressing the damage that religious war and intolerance has unleashed in Nigeria as well as how badly it has destroyed Nigeria’s image in the international community. Otherwise very soon the average profile of the modern day terrorist will change from a turban wearing Arab/Pakistani to a young business looking black man with a Nigerian name. Nigerians will then have greater difficulty obtaining travel visas, and the much needed foreign investment required to keep our democracy sane would start to erode us. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has already reported that foreign investors repatriated some $2.74 billion out of Nigeria from January to March of this year, suggesting that investors are moving money and assets out of the country to shield themselves from the political uncertainty. Can you imagine how much more monies will start to poor out, if we do not take the right kind of action now.

This dialogue must begin now, and I hope that one of the things that will come out of this is a request that Nigerians be allowed to punish such renegades ourselves, bringing them to appropriate justice under Nigerian anti-terrorist laws, suitably within 28 days of arrest. Fancy five star jails and so called court trials under the human rights conventions are clearly not a deterrent to such criminals. They have lost their humanity, so what gives then the right to be treated like humans. Over the years, I have been a strong advocate of abolishing the death penalty, but last week I changed my mind for exceptional circumstances such as this. Anyone that plays such a part in killing innocent people, soiling the image of his motherland, preventing valuable foreign investment that could help heal the sufferings of millions of Nigerians, and makes innocent Nigerians feel vulnerable to discriminatory treatment around the world, deserves nothing less than the
death penalty. That is indeed what we should call for these two renegades, so that the world will know that we do not and will not condone this level of brutal behaviour.

I also call on the Islamic community, and its leaders in Nigeria and around the world to use instances such as this, to show an increased adversity to and condemnation of this representation of Islam.; and then take the opportunity to highlight good and peaceful aspects that there are in the religion.

May the soul of Drummer Lee Rigby, and all other fallen heroes who are taught to honour and obey orders, and who fight daily for the freedom and progress of humanity, REST IN PERFECT AND EVERLASTING PEACE. May God grant their families the ability to bear their intolerable loss.

They are not Nigerians!
I would not agree with anyone today that African Americans are Nigerians even though it is prove that most of their enslaved  ancestors were from our geographical location on Earth. This is all because of the environment/experiences that mark them distinct, in psychology, from us Africans despite the same physical similarity. In defence of Osnn state's governor, Aregbesola, in a previous write-up below, I tried to explain the tolerance of his Yoruba nationals in matters of religion. (Please go through the said write-up below as I do not intend to bore those who have read it).
The British press have often been quick to add "of Nigerian decent". This is either borne out of mischief to shift the blame of grooming of these two within the British culture and place it in a foreign land now known to be infested with the Islam's militancy virus or it is a contrivance from the usual stereotype; if they were gold medal athletes, they are British and no mention of their decent from outside of Britain.
I make bold to claim, no Yoruba Muslim would descend this low to take a human life with the Islam's primitive injunction. Their parents are (or were) Yorubas but these two men are not. I can bet that, with their British heavy accent, they can hardly pronounce a word correctly in Yoruba language let alone make a full sentence with it. Yes! Nigeria has enough Islam's militancy problems, certainly this is not. They belong to Britain. They should own-it-up to the two and stop diluting the real background of the two men.
Me-think the British ordinary citizens would do themselves a favour by asking why those who invaded Iraq with lies, instigated Benghazi's disgruntled men to break into their  armoury and took up arms against Qaddafi while NATO rained bombs on ordinary Libyans to kill a leader that was still popular with 70% of his people, should be surprised at the present insecurity that has engolfed both nations. No one dared to kill an Ambassador in Gaddafi's Libya.Today we know one has gone down in Benghazi of all cities in Libya. Who? An American ambassador. Man likes the repeat of history only because we are too concern about ourselves at the detriment of others.
Aregbesola's Ethnic Spiritual Platform
I chose the above heading to illustrate how the Yoruba Nation has resolved their membership of the different faiths. The Yoruba person had resolved long ago that if their ancestors worshipped 201 Gods, adding one of Islam or Christianity is no big deal. Therefore being a member of one of the foreign religions does not preclude the original universal love that custom demands of all Yoruba sons and daughters. Here the Yoruba man or woman does not care about doctrines of man made religion but of that intrinsic emotion of love with its universal appeal call ELEDUMARE (GOD).
A typical example would suffice here; Adeola Odutola(Christian) and Ahmed Odutola(Muslim) were brothers and the only two children by their parents. Their father was a Muslim and their mother was a Christian. You can now see how the two split themselves between their parents' faiths. The two siblings were both millionaires in Ijebu-Ode, a town in the Yoruba nation of Nigeria.
When Adeola Odutola, the senior, died, the junior, Ahmed Odutola chaired the burial committee to bid his elder brother farewell which included he attending a church funeral session. Attitude like this is exactly why there is no tension between the major three faiths among the Yoruba in Africa. Aregbesola is just being a typical Yoruba man of today who is conscious of the danger of placing doctrines of religion over a universal truth.
My only wish is that man would come one day to the realisation that it is man that created these Gods, make injunctions on behalf of these Gods and still it is man that protects these injunctions. No time in history has these Gods acted for themselves and yet man can kill fellow men on their behalf.  Followers of all faiths claim theirs was revealed to their prophets and yet all the religions are different based on the culture/customs of their various lands of origin. Most religious practises are bound in TIME and SPACE which makes them obsolete in a later age. The 21st century religion must address the universality of life for all as the old religions are fixated many centuries behind time.

So, because of two deranged people whose parents happened to be Nigerians, but who were born and raised in Britain, Nigerians should now feel we have become a nation of terrorists...?

Joe Ikunna, I think you are sick!

And you are only feeling this way because of your SLAVE MENTALITY because the Oyinbo are involved in this.

You should be ashamed of yourself, Oyinbo Slave!

Who ever said Nigeria was a nation of saints...?

Every country has its share of bad elements. The important thing is that no nation should be demonized because of a few deranged people. There are terrorists and criminals in Britain who are British born. The US also have home-grown and US-born terrorists. When Timothy McVeigh drove a truck load of bombs into a federal building in Oklahoma killing babies and children in a day care, the authorities treated him as one lonely disturbed and deranged human being. Nobody wondered of another US citizen : 'what is his next move'.
Joe, are you overwhelmed with a sense of guilt? Is it your fault? Are the majority of Nigerians like this?
