i have seen a lot of women who never became mothers even if they had children. its hard to believe, but there are women who sacrifice their kids for their own happiness. they intimidate them to such an extent that they cant even think for themselves, they manipulate them with money, make them scared of other people, drive their friends away from them using tactics of bigotry and imbibe in them an arrogant disposition to the world, where they see nothing good in others but only themselves, which makes the world turn on them in return, and by that confirming what mama said is bad about the world. she may also set each of her kids against each other so that she can keep separate loyalties to herself. yes it is diabolic and a mental disease that comes as a result of having to survive or herself being isolated. a human being is very cultivable and should you bring up a child in a particular way, they will not be able to depart from it. they literarily become like servants, they dont even realise what they do.

its scary but true. when your children are a burden, when by some struck of luck you actually get hard to manage personalities for kids, when the husband treats her like she is unworthy, she turns on the kids cos they remind her why she cant leave the marriage. when she dosnt have her own means of income to be independent from a tyrannical husband, attacked by the relatives of the husband and has no family of her own to fall back on she turns wild. society "cluster grouping" at large is at fault for this, caging women and giving all liberties to men. where a woman's heart wants to see the world or conquer it but she is caged in the kitchen serving a guy who all he sees is a furniture. there are many reasons some women turn to be bad mothers, and the above listed are the reasons.

its getting better in our generation, cos women are fighting for choice, but those who are today 60 to 90 had it bitter. when you force a woman to marry and she hates the site of male, then she has to now have kids, the backlash of all this reasons is immense on the kids. they are the easiest and closest to be abused and intimidated by the parent. Marriage and child bearing is not for everyone.

"It’s no secret that the plight of the black female can be a struggle at times, especially when it comes to dealing with our hair—our natural hair. Between appointments at the salon and hot oil treatments, taking care of our Mother African roots is a tedious process. However, it is undeniably a key attribute to what makes women of color so unique."

In her debut right here on AfricentricsLIVE, The Ohio State University journalism student, Ogonna Ononye exposes some amazing young & local Africentric folks who are currently working on a project entirely dedicated to the celebration of the Natural beauty! Check it out!

A number of things came out from this for me: 1) the women's discomfort and pain even many years after this "operation", 2) their inability to enjoy sex, 3) their request for their husbands to have other mates. Now, I asked myself the questions: Do the men encourage this because they enjoy the control they have over the women as a result; because they know that their mates discomfort will drive them into other relationships; do the women subsequently encourage it because they themselves had experienced it?

I must admit, there are just some things I do not like about Africa and African practices/customs. This is just one of the abhorrent ones I just detest.

A TRIBUTE TO FEMALES THE WORLD OVER Hmmm... there is something to be said for the clitoris. It is that nub of flesh that brings tremendous joy to the woman and flushes her with insight into the etheric world of pleasure and possibilities. Nothing to be taken lightly... Until the male knows how to appreciate this electrifying aspect of the female, he is completely missing an element of the pleasures and beauty that could be shared between him and his significant other. Don't know about having a special day for it, though, other than one where the males will bow down and worship it with reverence and awe... lol. Just read the article and I don't know that if making a public spectacle of it in this way is healthy. Although, for me, the practice of FGM is abhorent and distressing to say the least and that is coming from someone who has theirs intact (just imagine what our dear sisters who had be treated to this horrific experience are missing!). When women are treated in such a way as being just a vessel for making and carrying babies and limiting her to the great pleasures that come from the experience (foreplay)... it is just cruel. Another reason why I made the suggestion I did in the above comment is that more and more men are abusing (raping) women; failing to overstand the precious entities that they are in terms of their carrying out the duties of Nature by nurturing, nourishing, protecting and caring for the young who are the fruits of the union of both men and women. Why is there this hatred of women/females? Is it that they are so insecure and unsure about themselves, and, essentially about the role they play in Nature alongside that of the female? Over the past centuries, a patriarchal system had cast women into the light of the one to blame for all the sins (crimes) to come into the world; they, the males, within this patriarchal system have assigned women to a life of drudgery; imposing their will upon them; whilst creating an illusion, an image of the virginal woman who should be the man's wife, they are, at the same time, busy creating women whom they could have their philandering and dirty little ways with. These males are incorrigible. And then when the wife in the home becomes aware of their adulterous ways with the women on the outside, they then make themselves available to court the same kind of hurt that they has inflicted on them. And, in these acts one now see a vicious cycle of unfaithfulness, disrespect and dishonour which has brought nothing but heartbreak and broken homes.
