''On its way to Nigeria! When hair become a billion $ business and we, Africans again are the consumers, shelling out this much to get hair shaved off some others head, then we know something is wrong with us mentally! But don't dare tell that to a Nigerian woman, her fake hair seems to come before her brains''- Teekay Akin @[603740646320462:274:Free Africa Project, FAP, Nigeria]

Stella Ishiekwene Kpolugbo wrote: Now my dear ladies in our great country Nigeria, we need to address some disturbing issues which the men are already sounding out loud out of frustration. I cannot ignore it anymore for the love of you all. ...guys and ladies together. In very recent times I have read several posts put up by guys on Facebook complaining bitterly from their tones, about the way our ladies throw themselves at men. The guys are pleading that our young ladies should have some self respect and self-esteem if they want to walk down the aisle with good guys. I don't know if I should say I'm ashamed to read this from the guys. But that's beside the point. Ladies, there's the need to listen to these guys' pleas. Only yesterday I read somewhere on Facebook still, a lady's post "warning" the guys that they don't want ice creams, cakes, shawama, roses, BB, Iphone, ipad, ipod, etc (oh the list was endless! ) for the February 14. . . Valentines Day. The lady wrote that all they want is for the guys to come and see their parents! Those were her words with the ending exclamation mark. Then I wondered to myself: how can the guys come see the ladies' parents for marriage when deep down they know these ladies are not wife materials, especially when guys have been using and handing them down to their friends on the queues? We must be forthright here and say the situation as it is because we want to help all parties concerned, including us parents. So there's no need for any euphemisms. Ladies please stop throwing yourselves at the guys. Stop what my husband describes as "Leather bag" marriage: a guy admires a lady and asks her out and before you know it, she has moved in with him and "ococcupying" his apartment, performing "wifely" duties to keep other ladies out and stamp her presence. It's not by these my dear ladies. Unfortunately, many of these guys quietly go look for and pick decent girls when ready for marriage. Yes, there are still many decent ladies out there. Those who know their worth. So if you want the respectable and honourable thing to be done to you as you're asking for on Valentines' Day, please please please ladies, give yourself some respect and carry yourself in high esteem and the guys will come running and begging for your hand in marriage. I may stop seeing Some ladies' faces on my timeline hereafter, but it's ok. At least you would have read this before you block or delete my name. But I beg you in the name of God, do yourself this one good and you'll be happy you did. And for my fellow mothers in this forum, please join me in this "Campaign For Ladies' Self-respect". Take off a little time from your busy schedule and drop a word of advice for our young ladies. Some will listen while some may not. For the sake of those who will listen, let's do it. Together we'll build a healthier and happier society. Thank you and God bless us all.
