BENIN CITY – Edo State Government has reiterated its readiness to partner any organisation or group that is prepared to contribute to the development of the state.


The State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole made this known when the Nigeria Automobile Technicians Association (NATA), Edo State chapter, paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House Benin City last Friday.
The governor who was represented by the state Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Pius Egberanmwen Odubu, thanked NATA, Edo state chapter, for their contribution towards his re-election in the July 14, 2012 governorship election in Edo state.


He assured that the state government would assist the body with a view to ensuring that it exists for the overall advancement of the inhabitants of the state.


Earlier, the chairman of Nigeria Automobile Technicians Association, Edo state chapter, Comrade Emmanuel Omo Edosomwan thanked the governor for consenting to the National Automobile Council (NAC) request which led to the approval of 4.642 hectares of land at Obe, along Sapele Road for the construction of an ultra modern mechanic workshop in the state.


He appealed to the governor to do all within his reach to ensure that NAC expedites action in constructing the ultra modern mechanic village.


The group later presented a plaque to the governor which was received by the deputy governor who represented the governor.
